Index Description

The High Growth Rate Dividend Achievers™ Index, a subset of the Broad Dividend Achievers™ Index, is designed to track the performance of the top 100 Dividend Achievers companies by their respective ten year compound annualized dividend growth rate. The index has been calculated by the AMEX under the symbol DAH since August 5, 2005.

Methodology

To become eligible for inclusion, a company must be incorporated in the United States or one of its territories, trade on the New York Stock Ex- change (“NYSE”), NASDAQ Securities Market Inc.(“NASDAQ”) or AMEX. Companies must have paid increasing regular annual dividends for ten or more consecutive years The average daily cash vol- ume must exceed $500k in US$ in the November and December prior to reconstitution. 100 compa- nies are chosen based on the ten year compound annualized dividend growth rate. The index is weighted using a modified market capitalization methodology. No company may comprise more than 4% of the index. The index is reconstituted annually on the last trading date in January based on the constituents' market capitalization as of the last trading date in December. The weight of each company will float between reconstitution and re- balance dates thus it is possible for a company to weigh more than 4% between these periods. The index is rebalanced quarterly on the last trading date in April, July and October. The rebalanced weights for April, July and October will be based on their market capitalizations as of the last trading date in March, June, and September, respectively. In the event of a corporate action or payment of a special dividend, the index divisor will be adjusted to reflect the changes. If a company is deleted from the index the next company in the list will be the replacement.
